Challah for Hunger at UMBC bakes Challah and advocates injustice that is happening in the world. We especially focus on the genocide stricken nations of Myanmar, DR Congo, and Sudan. Over half of our funds are directed to AJWS, and the rest to the Genocide Intervention Network. This coming Spring semester will be our fourth semester on UMBC campus.
We sell every other week on Thursdays from 11am to 2pm or until we sell out. We sell our Challah in The Commons on Main Street right in front of the bookstore. Each Challah costs $3.00. We now have 'Frequent Challah Cards' where you can buy 5 Challot and get the 6th one free.
We are big supporters of S.T.A.N.D on our campus. We are trying to increase cooperation with them for the following semester to increase advocacy on our campus.
